Bob’s background comes from the highest levels of provincial and municipal governments.

It makes him the only candidate with the complete perspective for effective city and resource management to move Ottawa forward.

In his own words ……. I’m proud to have previously served as Mayor of Ottawa. And I want to tell you why I’m running to lead our great city…again.

I feel I’ve accomplished a lot in life so I’m not stepping forward to boost my ego or pad my resume.

And I’m a citizen like any other citizen of Ottawa.  I believe many like me are feeling our city has been moving in the wrong direction. Key files have been mismanaged such as transit, housing, policing, the revitalization of downtown, carbon reduction.

And I ask what’s holding us back? Much of it is acrimony and vitriol at city hall, and not the least of which is the lack of transparency to councillors and to the public.

We need more leadership at city hall, but right now councillors are too divided, and some are too timid.

Councillors are not pulling in the same direction or dealing with crisis events. We saw it with the trucker protest that paralyzed downtown, hitting businesses hard and putting taxpayers on the hook for millions of dollars.

I know I can bring them together. I have done it before.  I know I can achieve their trust.

I like helping people, that is part of my psyche and I look forward to the opportunity of again helping from a position of leadership.

And I want to earn public support because I know that together we can rebuild a better future for our city.
